by solventpop 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago The looper is best used as a practice tool. I just play the chord progressions and let them loop while I practice solos, scales, etc. I don't recommend it for playing out. I do use it with our drummer and base player to have some fun during practice. The ME-50 is very easy to use compared to other systems like the POD XT Live, etc. Wah could be better and the delay is not as good as my stand alone pedal.

by solventpop 6 Months ago The looper is not the best for on-stage. Too much to think about for me but it is a must for practicing alone or with a drummer.

by Jonnyflash 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago I have a Harmony Hollywood acoustic/electric archtop from 1952 (at least that is the date stamped on the back of the pickup) which was given to me. It has a nice warm rich sound which I really love. One problem I have is that the frets are really worn which makes it a bit difficult to play without getting some annoying buzzes or dead notes. It's still a joy to hear though. My other guitar which is borrowed from my bro-in-law is an electric which I can't recall the name of right now. It's not a very common brand but it serves it's purpose for playing around on since I'm slowly learning. I am looking for a new guitar of my very own so if anyone can recommend a good electric for under $600 please let me know. My amp is a Line 6 Spider III 15W combo amp. I can play with the settings on that thing for hours and keep discovering new sounds. I absolutely love it.

by bryanhelmig 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago I've been using Slinky's. I really like the .11s in the purple bag. Fat strings are the way to go. I'm the guy that tends to run this place. Check out my band: Glass Cannon

by GreenHornet 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago bryanhelmig wrote: QUOTE: It's nice. MUCH better than my old AD30 Valvetronix. The Vox was ok, but the distortion models were way to fizzy and bland. I swapped that out for my Valveking plus a few dollars at GC and have been very pleased. I tried swapping out tubes to see what it would do and the original EH sound the best. The distortion on the Valveking is nice, but I like using the ProCo Rat on my Boss ME50 much better. Sings nicely with my Duncan JB

by Mort 4 Months, 1 Week ago My main guitar is a Hohner TE Custom which I bought around 1996-7. I also own an early Yamaha Pacifica and a Epiphone LP Junior which is set up for slide. I use a Line 6 pocket pod for practice and also sometimes jam on my computer using a rock frog and various pieces of amp emulation software. I also have a Laney 25w practice amp but that doesn't get used much these days. I play a Fender DG4 acoustic and also own a five string banjo which I intend to learn to play some day ! I'm mainly playing bass at the moment and I own an Ephinone Thunderbird and a Vintage V4 (Precision copy) I have a Laney RB4 bass amp and occaisionally use a Behringer Bass Overdrive pedal.
